Pittsburgh Is A Living And I Think I Am Too
A cataloguing of the textural idiosyncrasies found on building facades in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as they are manipulated by light and the slow aging of the city. The visual narrative is as inconstant as the surfaces represented, highlighting persistence, decay and the thoughtful structural interventions that often braid together these forces. This collection is an expression of reverence to the ephemeral material bodies that contribute to the composition of the city — the places that frame and shelter our procession of living.

Wet Theyes (In Memoriam)
Touchscreens use electrical fields to detect skin’s natural conductivity — water can interfere with this connection. This series of forty-two photographs is a representation of an interplay between body, screen and water in a short interval between 2:44—2:47 p.m. on December 15, 2022 as I moved uphill from the edge of the Pacific Ocean with my phone in my wet left pocket. These photos distort our perception of the art object, questioning the role of agency, intention and the living self as scaffolds of the creative process.
